    Membrane bioreactor (MBR)

MBR is a complete plant for waste water treatment based on membrane bio  reactive technology (MBR).

    Product Review:

Membrane bioreactor (MBR) is an innovative technology of waste waters treatment which combines membrane separation together with  biodegradation in a single process. It uses membrane devices to retain  activated sludge and large organic substances in bioreactor, excluding  necessity for activated sludge clarifier. It significantly increases concentration  of mixed liquor suspended solids, reduces hydraulic and solid retention times,  effectively purifying degradable wastes. MBR technology enhances bioreactor  functionality by membrane separation.

In comparison with conventional methods of conventional methods of  biological treatment, MBR has some advantages such as high biochemical  effectiveness, resistance to shock loads, stable quality of treated waste water,  compactness, long-term cycle of sediment discharge and simple automatic  control. At the present day it is one of the most perspective technologies used  for waste waters treatment.

Main components used in membrane bioreactor MBR of our company are  hollow fiber membranes combining conventional technique of package  treatment of equipment with hydrolytic acidification, aerobic biological  treatment and membrane filtration. It allows combining advantages of  biochemical and membrane processes, achieving more effective treatment  results.

    Sphere of application:

Extension and modernization of existing waste water treatment systems.  Construction of municipal waste water treatment systems.  Reuse of treated water.

    Product Benefits

Membrane module engineering allows for ultra-compact equipment placement in existing buildings. The high precision of the filtration systems eliminates the need for additional disinfection. MBR technological solutions guarantee technical-quality water (Water Reuse), allowing your business to significantly reduce water consumption.

    FAQ

What is the primary water quality achieved by MBR technology at the output?

A membrane bioreactor replaces secondary clarifiers and post-treatment units. Ultrafiltration membranes retain absolutely all suspended solids, bacteria, and even most viruses. The resulting water is of such quality that it can be safely reused for irrigation, industrial purposes, or discharged into fishery waters.

How are the membranes protected from rapid clogging by activated sludge?

We use continuous air flushing systems for membrane cassettes and automatic backwash cycles with reagents. This prevents the formation of a dense sludge layer on the pore surface. Thoughtful engineering of the hydraulic flows within the MBR unit allows the membranes to operate reliably for 5-7 years before scheduled replacement.

How complex is the membrane process automation system?

The MBR system is fully automated and monitored by pressure (transmembrane pressure) and turbidity sensors. If the membrane begins to clog, the automation switches to flushing modes or signals the operator. This eliminates the risk of untreated water "slippage," which is critical for food and pharmaceutical industries in Uzbekistan.
