Horizontal band vacuum filter is an effective facility used for separation of hard and fluid media, wherein filter cloth is used as filtering medium, but separation is attained by combining material gravity and vacuum inhausting. The unit operates in continuous mode and integrated round rubber tape is used as vacuum-chamber. Round rubber tape is powered by engine for continuous operation, but filter cloth is laid on tape synchronously. The tape generates a water film, the contact with equipment vacuum valve produces sealing. The suspension is evenly distributed over the filter cloth via the cloth feeder.
When the vacuum system is activated, a vacuum filtration zone is formed on the rubber tape and the filtrate flows through the filter cloth, is collected in grooves on the rubber tape and enters the vacuum chamber through small holes. The solids are trapped on the filter cloth, forming sediment on the filter. The liquid flowing into the vacuum chamber is discharged through a gas-water separator. As the rubber tape moves, the generated residues fall into the washing and drying zones, which are located in series. The filter cloth and rubber tape are separated from each other and the filter cakes are discharged onto the discharge roller. The filter cloth is cleaned and then passes through a set of support rollers and leveling devices prior to re-entering the filtration zone for the next filtration cycle.

It can feed, filter, wash, dewater and regenerate filter cloth in a continuous and automatic manner, providing a high automation level. Multi-stage washing can be applied in parallel or countercurrent mode, and the filtrate and washing liquid can be collected separately. It is suitable for low filtration efficiency and high viscosity materials, providing fast thin-layer filtration. The equipment has a modular design, which ensures combination flexibility and high adaptability.
PLC control is used for comfortable remote and centralized control. The snake-shaped leveling device serves for effective solving the problems related to filter cloth deflection and wrinkling.
